About the Cologne Huskies

The team was founded in 1985 of a group of Fans of our professional team the Kölner Haie. After a few years the founder decided to play in an unprofessional hockey league called Bendik Hobby League named by the professional player Ondrej Bendik (R.I.P).

In 2003 the EHC Huskies Cologne won the league.

After several unpunished injuries because of extreme rough and unsportsmanlike playing, the EHC Huskies Cologne left the league and focused on friendship games with international teams.

Because of a lot of traveling and training camps the team has found many friends in Czech Republic, Austria and Iserlohn (Germany).

Luckily at the beginning of the year 2018 the team created a new friendship with a very brilliant team from Canada.
