Off To A Great Start

It’s Friday morning and we are well underway at the St. Moritz Cup.

The day started with the Winnipeg Silver Bullets facing off against the home team St. Moritz HC. Both teams played well for such an early game, but the home team dominated and the plucky Canadians chalked it up to the altitude. As they say – Attitude, not Altitude!

The second game featured the Gatineau Lumberjacks of Canada against the Blue Muntanellas also from St. Moritz. Again another well played game, with the Muntanellas getting a 12-1 victory. The quote of the game was from the only Canadian goal scorer, Janique Godin who said “I think we should have brought more women players!” The game ended with an exchange of winter “toques” straight from La Belle Province du Quebec.

On the ice now are the Pallojussit Oldtimers vs SC Kusnacht and it’s shaping up to be a close game – stay tuned!
